My name is Harro Bos, owner of ShalomBricks and I have a couple of major passions. Two of these passions are LEGO and Israel. So I decided to combine the two and make a piece of art. And this is what I came up with: A mosaic made out of LEGO. I feel like this is a piece of art that’s all about the beauty of contradiction.

An orthodox man and an army man, they seem so different at first sight, but both are praying to the same God.
A piece of art made of LEGOs, which most of us consider as just a toy, not as something you can create art with.

I’ve been thinking about what to do with this piece of art after it’s finished and I decided I want more people to see it. That’s why I want to donate it to a foundation or institution, for free.

To be able to do so, I need to cover the costs that I had. And that’s where I need you! The total costs of this project were €4750. This covers:

  • The 23500 LEGO bricks
  • Designing and preparing
  • The hours that I’ve put into this project

I believe this piece can have so much impact if displayed in the right place. And you can help it have this impact, by donating. And who knows? When this project hangs at the right place, maybe I’ll start a new one. Changing the look of the earth a few thousand LEGO bricks at the time 😉

Here is the project on Indiegogo.

Feel free to share, like and comment.
